What is the difference between Standby Pass and Disney FASTPASS?

(ID:22125)
-Until further notice, FASTPASS is not issued.

●FASTPASS allowed you to experience an attraction with a minimal wait if you came back at the designated time, while Standby Pass allows you to enter the standby queue for the venue at the designated time.
●Guests without a FASTPASS were able to enter the standby queue. However, Guests without a Standby Pass may not be able to experience the certain venues.
(Please see "related question: Can I wait in line at a venue that requires a Standby Pass?" below.)
●A Standby Pass can only be obtained by using the Tokyo Disney Resort App. There is no Standby Pass distribution area within the Parks.
(If you do not have the app, please see the related question below.)

Attractions
●A Standby Pass may require a longer wait from the entrance of the venue to the experience compared to a FASTPASS.
●A Standby Pass for each venue can only be obtained once per day per Park ticket.

Shops

●A Standby Pass for a shop do not affect the requirements for obtaining a Standby Pass for an attraction.
●The following points are different from a Standby Pass for attractions:
・You can select the time to enter the shop.
・You can obtain more than one Standby Pass for each shop (You can obtain a Standby Pass for the same shop again, either use the Standby Pass you have obtained or wait until the end of the previously assigned time).
・After obtaining a Standby Pass, you can obtain a Standby Pass right away if it is a different shop.
